Init 2: Relaxation Exercise Thoughts
Hi Professor Beth and Classmates,
Wow..talk about being in a calm and relaxed state! After listening to the relaxation exercise my muscles were so relaxed and my body was completely at ease. I definitely felt the warmth and heaviness in my hands. My arms were completely comfortable and relaxed. I trained three people prior to listening to this exercise, so I was very wound up and tense, but after the exercise my whole body was at peace and I felt rejuvenated and completely energized. Who needs a Red Bull when we have meditation! :)

Motivational Quote!
Professor Beth and Fellow Classmates from HW 420-02,
My motivational quote of the week. Why is this quote true? Because we are learning to make choices and practicing healthy habits that lead to a more whole, fulfilled, and complete life. True flourishing of body, mind, and spirit stems from the root. We are the makers of our destiny!

A reflective statement worth sharing for this week's blog post which most definitely epitomizes the objective of this course, "the three gates which we act in the world are our body, mind, and speech: the actions we take, the content of our thoughts, and the character of our speech" (Dacher, 2006, p. 53).

Welcome!
Hi Beth and Fellow Classmates from HW420-02,
Welcome to Angela's, "Sweat Like a Pig to Look Like a Fox" health and wellness blog. I am an independent Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. I teach two classes at my local YMCA (boot camp and a total abs). I thoroughly enjoy my job and LOVE helping others reach their exercise and fitness goals! Physical wellness is only one dimension of our overall health and wellness prescription. There are other aspects of wellness to include: Spiritual, Emotional, Social, Intellectual, and Environmental. Each of these wellness aspects directly affects the other to create fulfillment and satisfaction. The mind/ body connection is an essential component in healing and overall well-being. It is making choices and practicing healthy habits that lead you to a more whole, fulfilled, and complete life.
I hope my blog offers some informative advice on Integral Health and your progression to human flourishing! I will share information on related health and wellness topics and everything in between. It's going to be packed with interesting articles about healthy eating, fitness, lifestyle choices, motivational topics, and inspiration. When it comes to your quality of life, attitude is everything! :)
I hope you enjoy!
