7 Lovely Logics

  1. Hi Angela,
Thank you for your blog! I found that I really connected with many areas that you spoke of. You mentioned that you strive for perfection, I do too. I have found that to be at time a downer in my life because when I do not perform up to my own standards, I get really moody and upset and bring myself down and my negative attitude ends up affecting others and I too need to work on this area. I also can relate to your phobias that you have. Isn’t crazy how the perfectionism trait carries into the phobias? I think that it makes the fear worse and can affect others around us. I too am working on these areas of my life. Something that helps me get through when I feel that I am living minute to minute is to breathe deeply in a quiet place and pray to let go of the fear and phobias that I am fostering and I mentally tell myself to LET GO and by saying that I release myself of the CONTROL that I think that I have. I let go and let God take over because if I do not I will feel a mess. Maybe this will help you too. If not God, perhaps you’re higher power or Mother Nature? Just a thought. Thanks again for your blog and all your honesty I really appreciate it.

  2. Hi Megan,
Thanks for your reply to my blog. Wow..so good to know I have company! :) My perfectionism can really take over in so many facets of my life that it tends to drive me crazy! Like you, I put so much stress on myself to live up to my expectations and when things don't go my way I feel so 'out of sorts' that it makes me miserable. A great example is our first quiz for this class. I ended up getting two wrong and it made me so bummed for the entire day. My poor husband had to take me out for dinner and make me laugh in order for me to close the door on kicking myself to death. This is just one example, trust me there are MANY more! I feel this class has opened my eyes to putting things into perspective and getting a grip on what is really important in life.
    Have a great week!
    Angela
